Stewart shares some of the challenges of Tasmania's cold winter temperatures, which has inspired him to refine his techniques to overcome these adversities.
Winning an Award for Excellence means our business will be recognised throughout the industry as producing quality products and services.
The opportunity to collaborate with amazing leaders, business and suppliers within our industry is why we are proud members of the STA.
Since Joining the Marine Trimming section of the Specialised Textile Association, I have become friends with so many other Marine Trimmers, Canvas Workers, Upholsterers & Vehicle Trimmers.
It’s an awesome group of talented tradespeople that are willing to lend a hand or share ideas or information if required.
Other benefits I have enjoyed is having a human resources team on hand to help navigate all that is required when taking on employees. I have used this service several times & it is excellent to have a one stop shop to get all the information required.
The Sewing for Boats team recently participated in the Marine Trimmers workshop as part of the Super Expo, and we could not be happier with our decision to join the association.
The workshop gave us the opportunity to learn practical skills from experts in the industry, as well as share and discuss business strategies and best practice. We enjoyed meeting and socialising with our industry peers and suppliers who provided nothing but support and encouragement. As a new business, the STA has welcomed us into the industry and been a great conduit for us to connect with other marine trimmers.
