What are the project specifications?

We had to design a shading solution that not only provided cover from overhead sun but as the window and area is west facing also providing shade as the sun dropped lower in the sky. Our client didn't want any framework seen when the shade was not in use.

What was the purpose of the project?

To provide shade for an entertainment area and protect the home from low west sun.

What is unique or complex about the project?

Access to the balcony was difficult and we had to use access and lifting equipment to lift awnings into place. We also had to remove roof flashings to fit off folding arm awning brackets.

What were the results of the project?

Our client is extremely happy with the end results, minimal apprearance when retracted and total shading solution for the balcony and sliding doors.
